Ancillary Facilities

The ancillary facilities at CERMI are used for teaching purposes.

Absorption air conditioning system using solar thermal energy

This system uses an absorption chiller that takes advantage of the heat produced by the solar thermal system to cool the water used in the building's air conditioning system. The air conditioning system is controlled by a technical management system that allows you to program it according to the desired time.

Hybrid solar energy production system (150kWp) - wind (7kWp)

The building has a renewable energy production and storage facility on site, with a 118 kWp on-grid photovoltaic production system, a 32 kWp off-grid photovoltaic production system connected to a battery bank and two wind turbines producing a nominal power of 6 kW and 1 kW, respectively.

Domestic hot water production system using solar thermal energy, rainwater recovery system using recycled water for use in toilets and irrigation, and wastewater recovery system that treats the water for use in sanitary facilities and for irrigation.

The building has a solar thermal system for the production of 800l and 10 m2of DHW. It also boasts a system for reusing rainwater and recycling wastewater to be reused in sanitary facilities and for irrigation.
